Hello everybody and welcome to this second episode in my Spiritual Poem Podcast. Now many of you listening to this podcast will know about God and how he sent his only son Jesus to earth in human form to teach the people about our Father in heaven. But there will be some listening who know very little about the Lord.

So in this next poem I would like to introduce you to God. Now I took this poem from Colossians 1 verse 17 that says: He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

May I introduce to you,
The God of all creation,
The one who fills my heart with love,
With awe and adoration.

God is King of heaven and earth,
Ruling each and every part,
He knows each person dwelling there,
And can see into their heart.

Generous gifts He pours on us,
He gives life to all on earth,
Providing all we need to live,
Watching over us from birth.

God controls all he has made,
On the land and sea and sky,
From vast mountains to small creatures,
And the lives of you and I.

God revealed Himself to us,
By creating earth and space,
He rules, gives and controls all things,
Through divine infinite grace.

God loves you beyond measure,
If you seek Him you will find,
He made from one man and woman,
Every nation for mankind.

So come, step up and meet God,
He waits patiently for you,
The day you give your life to Him,
Your whole life will start anew.

The mystery and wonder of the Lord God Almighty are far beyond our humble understanding and imagination. We do know that he loves us and watches over us and is ready to listen to our prayers. For all God’s power and awesomeness, he adopts us as his children and we can call him Father. Let me tell you more about Almighty God.

Now this next poem is taken from Job. Job chapter 11, verse 7: Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?

Almighty God who’s there to save,
And helps me climb the highest wave,
Who cleanses my soul from within,
By His forgiveness of my sin.

Who knows the thoughts inside my heart,
And shows me how to do my part,
By leading me from place to place,
To tell His people of His grace.

Who loves me with a love so strong,
Who’s there to teach me right from wrong,
Who’s there for me both day and night,
Who keeps me always in His sight.

Who stands beside me when I’m down,
And wipes away my worried frown;
Who grants to me an inner peace,
Who shows me blessings that don’t cease.

Who’s been with me before my birth,
Who’s in control of all the earth,
Who in splendour made creation,
And did design every nation.

Almighty God who’s three in one,
Father, Spirit, Jesus His Son,
Humbly I bow on bended knee
With thanks for all you do for me.
