Who is Jesus?
Episode 3 - Published 01 Apr 2025
Featuring readings of The Lord Jesus and Jesus is Watching from Be Refreshed.
In Episode 3, we’re going to ask the question, Who is Jesus? Jesus is the Son of God who came to dwell on earth in human form. Jesus experienced the challenges and sorrows of this life. He came from heaven to earth to take away our sins by dying on the cross so we may be saved. Jesus is the promised Messiah, the Savior of the world who knows each of us and understands us perfectly.
Jesus as God is without sin, a great teacher, and he performed many miracles and lives today in heaven. He is always there for us and always listens to our prayers. Jesus is fully God, making up the Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This poem is called The Lord Jesus and the reference is from James 1 verse 17: Every good and perfect gift is from above…
Who holds you in a warm embrace?
Who pours on you abundant grace?
Who loves you with abiding love?
Who cares for you from heaven above?
The Lord JesusWho shows you mercy without end?
Who forever is our best friend?
Who changes not from day to day?
Who watches as we go our way?
The Lord JesusWho walks with us on life’s long road?
Who when we hurt will share our load?
Who knows the thoughts within our heart?
Who forgives when our sins impart?
The Lord JesusWho listens to us when we pray?
Who promises with us to stay?
Who lifts us up on eagle’s wings?
Who to our life peace and joy brings?
The Lord JesusWho’s Spirit does within us dwell?
Who asks that others we should tell?
Who caused us to be born again?
Who over the whole world does reign?
The Lord JesusWho shows compassion when we grieve?
Who does our leaden heart relieve?
Who lifts us up when we are down?
Who wipes away our every frown?
The Lord JesusWho came to earth and is God’s Son?
Who over death a victory won?
Who from our sins did set us free?
Who in eternity we’ll see?
The Lord Jesus
That is an example that describes Jesus and some of the things he does for us. We know that Jesus watches over us all. And when a new believer comes to Jesus, all heaven rejoices, for another soul is saved. This next poem is called Jesus is Watching. It’s taken from Psalm 121, verse 3: He who watches over you will not slumber…
Jesus is patiently watching
For the sinner to come to Him,
He lets it be known he is there
And is ready to say, ‘come in’.No matter the time they are calling,
Or how old the person may be,
He’s standing there with open arms,
Saying, ‘child just come here to me’.He is always there to welcome,
Anyone who comes to repent,
Asking for sin to be lifted;
His forgiveness is Heaven sent. The angels rejoice in Heaven,
When Jesus saves another soul,
New Christians will thank Lord Jesus,
For being born again and whole.
